Once in a while, big personalities take to Twitter to espouse their opinion on everything from politics to pop culture. Now, one big Silicon Valley executive, Shervin Pishevar, is making news for his big, outlandish predictions on everything from the future of the stock market to Bitcoin to the future of American Infrastructure. Below are some details from the infamous Shervin Pishevar Tweetstorm.
The Dow Will Drop 6,000 Points
The first big prediction made during Mr. Pishevar’s Tweetstrom was that the Dow Jones Industrial Average would fall an incredible 6,000 points from its high. If this prediction were to come true, that would mean the market would fall to levels not seen since the Great Recession of 2008.
Bitcoin Will Crash, Again
Not one to shy from gloom and doom predictions, Shervin Pishevar predicted some big downward moves for the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. Specifically, Mr. Pishevar believes that Bitcoin’s price will continue to crash and finally stabilize in the $2,000 to $5,000 level. This would mark a discount of almost 90% from Bitcoin’s $20,000 high.
Silicon Valley Will Lose Its Stronghold As A Tech Center
Perhaps the most shocking prediction made during the Tweetstorm was what Mr. Pishevar had to say about Silicon Valley. The early Uber investor believes that Silicon Valley will no longer be the tech center of the universe. Instead, Mr. Pishevar believes that start-ups will stay wherever they please and remotely work with clients and business partners.
American Infrastructure Will Continue To Fall Behind
One of the more surprising predictions made by Mr. Pishevar was his belief that American infrastructure will continue to fall behind. The Silicon Valley heavyweight blames the country’s short-term thinking when it comes to building the nation’s road, bridges, and buildings. Mr. Pishevar points out the fact that the Chinese are now able to build an entire train station in just nine hours.
